Mandrels

MCTec's cost-effective DuraSkin™ and LubriSkin™ coating is available on round or flat wire, in a variety of materials, and in different diameters and lengths. We produce coated copper extrusion mandrel wire with low friction coatings. This wire is frequently used to produce high end medical (braided) tubing with well-defined tight tolerance.

Which mandrel?

Extrusion mandrels are tools, mostly produced in copper but also in steel, with a very thin PTFE layer. We can produce these mandrels with a well defined outer diameter, so that our customers can extrude clean and smooth lumen with a tight tolerance.

Welding mandrels are tools used to join two different tubing materials together to form a tube with a guaranteed inner diameter.
