Core Wires & Stylets

The MCTec proprietary coating process is a highly cost-effective way to produce extremely uniform coatings for medical device components. Precise control over the coating thickness enables us to guarantee tight tolerances. The ultra-thin and highly effective coating resulting from post-processing the wires provides one-to-one torque. The unique process also allows us to apply PTFE onto Nitinol without compromising its superelastic properties. Typical products include dead straight stylets for PTCA guidewires, guidewire cores and catheter stylets.
For PTCA applications, MCTec has developed ultra thin coated PTCA stylets that provide a one-to-one torque.
